Tutoring

The Crisis Shelter provides tutoring for residents of Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing. Students from area colleges assist in the program as well as retired educators who are available to assist children ages 5 – 18 and adults prepare for th GED exams or exams for higher education.  If you have some time and are qualified to help instruct someone who is struggling with their education, please email volunteer@crisisshelter.org.

“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove…but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”     Forest E.
